Is David Furnish The ‘Mother’ To Elton John’s Baby Zachary?

In congratulating “Elton & wife,” was the New York Post just interpreting what they saw on newborn Zachary Jackson Levon Furnish-John’s birth records? (Doubtful, but …) Because California is using “traditional” computer systems, records at the “Los Angeles register office” (whatever that is) prompt only for one father and one mother. Elton John’s name reportedly appears in the former slot, while David Furnish is listed on the mother — though it’s unclear whether Zachary’s birth certificate mirrors the identifications, or whether the names were placed arbitrarily or actually indicate who is the biological father. Though one day soon, both gay dads will have that option!
