What's interesting about this profile of porn producer and Queerty reader antagonist Michael Lucas isn't that he managed to score himself yet another piece of press (which he dutifully hangs up in his office), but that the article appears in The Forward, a Jewish newspaper that, uh, might frown on people of a porn persuasion. Or maybe it's because no newspaper can deny a rags-to-riches, helping-ma-and-pa story:
By 1998, once it became obvious how much more Lucas could earn by producing and directing his own films, Lucas Entertainment was born. The company took off; by 2001, Lucas had made enough to help his parents, his brother, Pavel, and his grandparents immigrate to the States. His brother and father have since returned to Moscow, where the former heads a real estate company. Only his 88-year-old grandmother, a retired piano teacher, remains, residing near the Brighton Beach section of Brooklyn. Lucas lives with his partner, 53-year-old Richard Winger, in Manhattan’s Chelsea neighborhood. Though Lucas calls Winger his “office manager,” a 2006 New York magazine profile described the latter as an “Austrian international investor.”
What does the Bregman family think of Lucas’s chosen profession? “There is such a thing as wishful thinking. I’m sure my parents would have wished me to go on with my law education,” he said. “When my mother was alive, she knew very well what I’m doing, and my grandparents, as well. Once they realized I’m actually in the adult business, they never gave me any problem. They were always interested in how I’m doing businesswise. My father and mother had been to the office a couple times. It’s a regular office.”

I admire his stand against Islam and the Muslim teachings in this country and in Europe. He interviewed me for the New York Blade for my burning the Koran and hadith (or sayings of Mohammed), whose guidance devout Muslims still consider binding, say of homosexual acts: "Kill the one who is doing it and also kill the one that it is being done to".
There is an unwillingness to criticize Muslim attitudes towards homosexuality among many gay men, even with the former editor of this blog, Belonsky.
@rudy: lol No, I'd never spend a dime on anything by him. I'm just sick of everytime I turn around, he's getting press for dissing someone else. He thinks he's God's gift to gay porn and everyone else is beneath him. Got no time or room for cunts like that. His last "encounter and rant" which involved Brent Corrigan really opened my eyes to what a dick-cheese and dried-cum stain on all things gay he really is.

Well, why shouldn't we be afraid of people who want us killed? Gay bashings in Europe are rising, and they're the ones committing them. There was a comment here from a gay ex-Muslim telling how his father tried to kill him when he came out, and it broke my heart.
Even so-called "moderate Muslims" are anti-gay and support using the law to oppress us. For the Koran tells them so.
And if those hated "gay white men" were as racist as everyone says, there would be Arab bashing like you wouldn't believe.
Pointing out the bigotry of others is not bigotry.

Homosexuality is punishable by death in Iran, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Yemen, and Mauritania, and by severe physical punishment in several other Muslim countries; the United Arab Emigrates imprison homosexuals for up to 14 years.
In both America and Britain, Muslim groups have successfully pressured TV and film producers not to portray Islam as anything but a Religion of Peace. President Bush echoed this sentiment.
We must fight religious fundamentalism, both Christian and Islamic.
Their holy books and teachings want us dead.
