"Sources" say the very anti-gay former New York City mayor wants to be New York's next U.S. senator. But also, "a number of sources said no decision has been made and a Giuliani spokeswoman downplayed the reports." Haha. This is how you float a possible campaign to test the waters!

No. This man is a douche of epic proportions.
Giuliani is ahead in tentative polls (based mostly on name recognition I'm sure)…but I suspect once they started debating the actual issues he'd drop quickly. NY is just too liberal to have a Republican senator at this point in time.
GEORGE: They said that NYC was too Liberal to have a Repugnatican Mayor a lot also……….'jus saying……
He'll win
Rudy the hyprocrite, when his wife discovered he was cheating with Judy Nathan Hotdog and she booted him out of Gracie Mansion (how the hell did the Mayor get booted out of the Mayor's residence?)he then went to live with Howard Koppell and his lover (they were GAYS). It seems Rudy can enjoy the hospitality of a long term Gay committed couple but does not feel they are entitled to the same rights and benefits that married straight couples are………
Ummm… "very anti-gay"
Under what definition?
I know that he didn't endorse marriage equality (favoring civil unions), but who exactly has so far? A handful of Senators and some Governors (whom we love and to whom we are very grateful).
But currently our problems in both NY and NJ make it pretty clear that support is rarer that we'd like to admit.
And let's face it. Giulianni is more pro-gay than most Democrats outside of NYC. Or are all those Democrats also very anti-gay?
Or is (as I suspect) having an "R" or "D" behind your name the ONLY thing that matters when defining what is "very anti-gay" and what is not?
George, don't be fooled by the liberal label of NYS. It isn't once you leave NYC, upstate (Gillibrand country) is extremely conservative, heavily catholic. Its no different than California, Iowa or Texas. There are no truly liberal states, not even Massachusetts. Getting marriage equality legislated doesn't necessarily make a state liberal.
Timothy, Giuliani is not pro-gay just because he supports civil unions or dresses in drag. He's an opponent of marriage quality like 99.99% of them in his party, ditto Rick Lazio who is running for the governor's position and he will veto any legislation that comes across his desk, so would Giuliani, don't think for a minute that they wouldn't. Their voter base is more important to them than our rights.
Gillibrand has proven that she can beat Republicans in their own district. She's far too smart for him that it will look like the sequel to Hillary Versus Rudy and we know how well that went, huh, Donna Hanover? Rudy is done in New York, he should move to Florida!
If he is actually running for the Senate, I look forward to having an orgasm while voting against him. He is pathetic and disgusting.
Giuliani does NOT support civil unions… don't buy the crap. During his embarrassing run for president Giuliani ran away from gays like we were the plague. And stated he does not support civil unions. It's only in right-wing la la land this man is a hero… everyone in NY city knows what a disaster he was leading up to 9/11.
At first I was a bit ambivalent about Gillibrand but if this charlatan is actually running.. those doubts are gone.
