Is Scandalous Twink Beau Breedlove The Reason Portland Mayor Sam Adams Won’t Seek Re-Election?
Portland’s openly gay mayor Sam Adams has decided not to run for re-election because campaigning and fundraising full time would not allow him to concentrate on fulfilling the rest of his mayoral goals. If he did run, he’d face off against two prominent challengers and would probably have his past affair with scandalous twink Beau Breedlove aired out once more. And unless Breedlove is finally willing to do a porn spread that shows actual peen, we’d rather not have to hear about him ever again.
It is almost pointless to say this for the moralists here, but I will try. We get the politicians we deserve, most of the time. The mayor committed no crime or if he did have sex with a 17 y/o days away from being 18, it isn’t much of a crime in my opinion. But if the perfect Nancy’s of the world want to dwell on this, (rather than run themselves) then we only have to pick from those who have the stomach to tolerate the relentless scandal mongering etc. Don’t blame him for not running again. It is sometimes not worth turning your life upside down for an (apparently mostly) ungrateful public.
