Is The Addams Family Terrible? Audiences Don’t Seem to Care

Critics are laughing at it, but producers of Broadway’s The Addams Family, needn’t worry: They collected $851,000 in opening weekend ticket sales on top of $15 million worth of advanced purchases. If Meryl Streep is box office gold, Bebe Neuwirth and Nathan Lane are Broadway bullion. [NYT]

Saw it in Chicago before it went to Broadway. I laughed the whole way through. Sure, the story isn’t all that and it would be cool if Bebe still had her voice and Nathan didn’t weigh 1000 pounds, but I enjoyed myself.

I love Bebe and Nathan. I still wish Bebe was in the movie Chicago.

Bebe’s voice is gone? Maybe she needs to find a new vocal coach to get it back up to par! I had to do that…
