Too hot for TV? Screw that! Who’s writing the headers for these articles?! I saw this episode last night and said to myself “it’s about frickin’ time.” How often do we see the same scenes from straight couples?!

I remember when I was waiting in breathless anticipation mixed with fear and excitement over seeing my first gay kiss on tv…and what a letdown it was. I LOVE that it’s becoming mainstream..and obviously hotter. It’s about time!

Remember Melrose Place dropping Matt Fielding’s, (Doug Savant) gay kiss in favor of advertising dollars? And to think, it only took 16 years to get sexually active queers on the small screen.

@John Santos: I DO remember waiting for that one! What about the Dynasty kiss? I was in gradeschool and knew full well what episode we were watching but my parents didn’t have a clue.

Hmmm, Geoff, I don’t remember a gay KISS on “Dynasty,” just some hugs. Is there some outtake scene somewhere I’m unaware of?

Assume you’ve recognized “Steven #2″ [Jack Coleman] now playing the cheerleader’s father on “Heroes.”

Most of the characters on “Brothers & Sisters” grate my nerves, INCLUDING Kevin whom Scotty should have dumped for someone lest whiny long ago, but I keep coming back for scenes like this.

I’d say that the gay kisses on “Dawson’s Creek,” if for no other reason than the show’s young demographic, were the most revolutionary on network TV until “Nuke” currently on ATWT.

I’ve always thought it ironic that the first hot gay couple on TV, albeit cable, complete with heavy kissing and full frontal nudity, was made up by one part psychopathic killer: Christopher Meloni’s spellbinding and drop dead sexy [maybe by his hand...remember when he broke Brian Bloom's neck after Bloom ______] Chris Keller. It could have been how dark and depressing the series was over all, but I still believe that it’s rampant male nudity/sex was why critics ignored its often great performances such as Meloni’s.

Here’s a montage of their kiss scenes [definitely NOT SFW]:

Wow, I’m impressed. Network TV. Bare torsos. Extended make-out.

Sarah really could have looked more surprised when Chad swept Kevin off his feet.

Except I didn’t want Chad coming in between Kevin and Scotty, I love them as a couple too much.

What a backwards country we live in that men kissing gets people more excited than murders & rapes.

Maybe the religious right is correct after all. Why being Gay is just so hot, once you get a taste you can’t control yourself!!!!!! ;)O

this was the story line from and episode of six feet under years ago— except they actually had a hot threeway instead of just considering it.

@rogue dandelion: I think a three way would have been out of character here.

@The Gay Numbers: I completely agree!!! At the risk of sounding like a prude (REALLY I’m not) not only do I feel it would have been out of character, to the best of my memory there has not been a married gay couple on Network TV who are both stable people and committed to each other which in my opinion sends a tremendous message. So I think it would really devalue their whole marriage thing, especially in a time that we’re fighting for it.

Great episode I must say, though I am disappointed that Sarah walked in.

I saw this and it was an amazing ep. Not just because of the gay scenes but the rest of the storylines aswell.
