It’s Back to Go-Go Dancing For Shane ‘Single Ladies’ Mercado

Ever wonder what happens to the fellas who make those pop diva remake videos? Then here’s your follow up with Shane Mercado, the “Single Ladies” loving dancer who helped spawn a YouTube revolution — and a three-year veteran of Splash Bar in NYC. After meeting Beyonce, what else is there to do in life? Keep on dancing on a box, reveals videographer Justin Buchbinder, who’s saving journalism by profiling the go-go boys of NYC.

Miss Shane’s original performance? It’s on the next page.

      Is he hot?

      I can’t or won’t figure it out.

@Jason: He’s probably a very talented bottom, if that helps.

Really? I thought Splash only had Chelsea boys. Big, worked out dudes. Not twink types. Obviously, I’ve never been to Splash.

@Jason: I’m so glad I’m not the first to express confusion.

Normally this guy is totally my type. My brain *wants* to be attracted – it’s telling me I should be, at least. But something else is saying “no!” I’m confused!

Some guyswithiphones will surely clear up my concerns.

I pretty much grew up at splash… big beefy guys behind the bar, ten pound twinks on top of it. Looks like not much has changed.

@naprem: you can actually see him bottom in Barebackin’ Boyfriends 2 as “Josh”

Welcome to NYC – be sure to enjoy the delicatessen! Personally I think he’s super cute and highlights the amazing diversity of this queer town, with as many flavors as there are hours in the day.
