As anyone who has ever tried to assemble IKEA furniture knows, it’s a lot harder than it looks in the manual… Unless you’re a lesbian. Then it’s a no brainer. At least, that’s the stereotype.
Well, the folks over at BuzzFeed decided to put the lesbians-are-good-at-building-stuff myth to the test by pinning two lesbians against two gay men to see which pair did a better job at constructing an IKEA dresser in an hour.
So who won the challenge? Find out in the video below.
Matthew David Thompson
Matthew McMillion
Chris Sledge
I would crush this I am king of IKEA furniture it’s like putting together a usable puzzle (fuck stereotypes)

So what did they win? If they won a shitty IKEA dresser that’s not much of a prize!

They both looked like they got about the same amount done- I just goes to show you how damn hard that ikea crap is to put together. I glad to know I’m not the only one that has trouble.

Here’s betting that these pieces will not be on Antiques Roadshow in a hundred years.

Really. Ikea has a time and place but otherwise it’s store-to-house-to-curb in, like, a year. I’ve got some storage stuff for closets from Ikea but I’d never put their actual furniture in my place.

Queen Anne, Hepplewhite, Nakashima, Chippendale are rolling over in their graves, Glucklich. They’d be cryin’ in their mead.

Roberto Lazzeroni. When I saw “Devil’s Advocate” eons ago Al Pacino’s office was furnished in Lazzeroni things. It took years for me to figure out the designer and the first chance I had to buy a settee/sofa I snapped it right up. Have I sat on it since? No, but it pleases me to look at it.

Ha! I feel the same way about spindly, ladder-back chairs. The beauty and grace in old architecture and furniture was really something to behold.

I googled, “Lazzeroni” and was pleased by the design. beautiful!

You know, the people in my IKEA store have always been pretty nice and cool, but the folks at IKEA corporate? Bunch of assholes.
Quite surprising for a large multi-national, moderrn, and hip company. Corporate assholes.
crowebobby
Funny idea. Didn’t even have to read it.

Since when do you need to hammer things in IKEA furniture?
