Yeah, I think it's Japhy's way of saying "Fuck you!" to those of us who don't obsess about movie stars. It's an LA thing, I guess.

^^^ I don't agree. I have respect for what they do professionally. I also have respect, however, for teachers, firemen and lawyers — and I have no interest in seeing THEM cross the street, eat a sandwich or stand in an airport security line. So I think we're in agreement about that.

Frankly, I've met "stars," and I've never been cowed or wowed by them. They eat, they sleep, they shit, just like the rest of us. I never could figure out what the big deal is about actors or models or pro sports players.

There have been a lot of changes to Queerty since Japhy took over but there is one thing that has really been bugging me. Where did all of the real news go? (Especially updates on LBGTQ issues abroad!) And why this mess? No one cares. I use to visit this blog to keep informed about real news and issues about our community that I couldn't find elsewhere. Now when I visit, I find myself skimming contentless updates, with maybe one interesting article a day. Please don't let this blog turn into a catty, celeb blog. Get back to the news and forget the gossip.
