I didn’t know his telethon was still on the air. People should stop giving to his telethon and give to the Children’s Miracle Network. They do much more for children with all sorts of health issues. Jerry Lewis created this telethon just to keep himself in lunch money.

I think you guys over in the US have to pursue this bastard remorselessly over this issue, not simply to punish him but to make it crystal clear that such anti-gay attitudes/remarks will in the future have serious professional consequences.

We are doing our bit on this, this side of the pond.

Our Motto should be: Punish and pursue the public homophobes as a warning to the others.

i hear “fatty”… and i’ve listen to it a million and two times.

i definitely hear “f” “a” and a “t”… but then it get mumbled… but then it ends with a distinct “y” sound. so it was either “fatty” or “faggy”. there was no “ot” sound at the end. either way, Jerry caught himself and tried to bow out, so we can NEVER REALLY know the true intention of the word.

still, either one was harsh.

now, the assumption is that “jesse” was a boy. “jesse” could be the cameraman’s daughter.

it doesn’t really matter. Jerry Lewis has done more good for the world with his fund raisers than GLAAD and all of us posting on here put together.

i think his words are suspicious, and we each think we heard something different… those that want to bitch, will bitch. those that take his philanthropy into consideration, don’t.

but i think we should give him the benefit of the doubt because of the shear volume of humanitarian labor he’s given through the years. the benefit of the doubt. (we gave Isaiah Washington one out, and he fucked that up.)

he’s old, he’s senile… when i get old and senile, i’m gonna blurt out a bunch of offensive crap… that’s the great thing about being old and senile. i actually can’t wait (i’ve been practicing too!).

It’s a live program, so it was probably on a seven, or eight second delay and the censor probably hit the button and as ksgirl pointed out, we caught, “fag’t.” But it’s pretty clear he said “faggot.”
