WOW! I remember my parents getting Jet when I was a kid, and the cheesy bikini-clad centerfold. Now to see this: an African-American magazine featuring a same-sex couples.

I do applaud Jet for doing this issue highlighting a gay marriage, but this is hardly new to the Black community. Ebony magazine has featured gay and lesbian couples and issues for years.
side note: Ebony did an amazing article last year about most gay and lesbian couples who adopted were Black and lived in the south.

Heres an example – the head of the FRC, tony perkins, an evangelical xtian not only hates gays but he’s in bed with the kluxers.
Its a sad sad life when one hates multiple minorities – most likely because he hates himself.

It’s these steps where the minds are won, it’s taken a hell of a fight to get to this point, where the reporting of gay marriages is mingled in with straight marriages and every other bit of relationship news.
It’s this normality and presentation as equal not separate or derided where the hardest most time consuming yards are made.
The tide has changed, we should make more of a deal about these victories as they really matter.
