John Edwards is having a rough month.
There is still speculation that he is lying about not being the father of Rielle Hunter's baby, he was dis-invited to the current par-tay for the DNC in Denver this week, and now he can't even get a hold of his former friends and staffers to apologize.
The story plays out like Edward's staffers were the ones personally betrayed by the affair.

The Clinton comparison is not so cut and dry. Yes they were both betrayals, but Hillary wasn't terminally ill and Chelsea didn't end up with a bastard half-sister. The fact that Edwards did this when he knew he was under a microscope and could have cost the democrats the entire election if he was nominated goes beyond hubris. He is another smiling political sociopath. I am in election fatigue. I am so over it. I will of course vote along party lines (democrat) but I just want this whole process over already.
Again, what he does w/his genitals doesn't phase me with regard to his actual work. I'm sure plenty of readers here would be in dire straits if their personal/sexual lives were pegged to their careers…then again, so may well be better off if that were the case :\
I'd rather have a "satsified" Democrat than a closeted Rethuglican in office…..
But seriously, does anyone realize how many of our best leaders fooled around? But some years ago, this sort of thing was off limits to the press and I wish it was again.

I gotta feel a little bit sorry for the guy at this point, even if his wife did have cancer. But then again, it was pointed out to me that sometimes affairs happen at the most stressful times in life and that can be somewhat understandable.
