John McCain's MTV Party Past

Sure, John McCain blasted Barack Obama's international popularity earlier today, but that doesn't mean he's above name dropping. Take, for example, a 1999 speech he delivered to New Hampshire high school students, who McCain's clearly trying to impress with a tale about bonding with his then 15-year old daughter:

In pursuit of that, a few months ago I went to the MTV awards. What a guy, huh?

In New York — I now know who Puff Daddy is; Busta Rhymes, he was wearing a dress that night. I'm going to try and borrow it from him for part of this campaign. And who here likes Nine Inch Nails?

I knew you'd like Nine Inch — well, I kind of lean towards the Back Street Boys. Thank you very much. Obviously, a woman of taste and class.

Anyway, we had a great time at the time MTV awards.

It's worth noting that Britney Spears performed at those particular awards.

Journalist Mark Nickolas also reminds readers that one of McCain's daughters, Sydney, works in the music business.

Meanwhile, here's some MTV video of McCain discussing discovering Elvis and the aforementioned music awards. He says he was particularly impressed by Nine Inch Nails. Can you imagine the Senator singing "Closer."

You can't blame him for his attack ads. He has nothing else to offer. He know's he's going to lose, so why not try to bloody Barack in one last attempt to gain ignorant uneducated voters? (70% of American voters)

I blame him for his attack ads, because he's been in that situation before, at the hands of fellow Republicans no less, and I thought he would know better. The only change that happened is that Mccain became more Conservative because he wants to win at something. Palin, strictly a political move and not the best choice for the country. In any case, I hope you all can check out this website, which outlines what a Mccain administration would be like… http://mccainpalinworld.com/

There's also links for anti-Mccain t-shirts there.
