The most disturbing part of John Waters’ reveal is: Parents are asking him for parenting advice?
Perhaps not the wisest choice for someone charged with raising a child, but I do love the premise of Water’s new Christmas children’s movie (!) Fruitcake. Or perhaps he’ll take my more apt title suggestion: Meat Man.

I love listening to John talk about the making of his movies and the subtleties most people (including me) might miss – the wallpaper, numerous kitchen sets in Kathleen Turner’s movie (I can’t remember the title right now.) Lots of details that would be easy to overlook. And of course, the interesting ways in which he gets his mesg accross.
Brilliantly done, but I’m still not a big fan of counter culture stuff.

John Waters fucking rules…he was ‘queer’ before queer was chic. Truly a gay trailblazer and icon…his shock/schlock movies broke down so many barriers, and were so brilliantly subversive, he is definetely one of the artists who have changed our society for the better.
And Colbert was/is clearly a fan…they had a good verbal repartee, and it was a fun interview to watch.
