It’s segments like this one why I’ve stopped believing Jon Stewart is just funny-haha-ing his way through the news in a way that makes him different from cable news pundits. Assailing Sen. John McCain for speaking in tongues over the Don’t Ask Don’t Tell Pentagon study, Stewart releases a PSA warning McCain history is about to write him down as a civil rights monster. Sean Hayes guest stars.

See, in the days before the Daily Show and youtube, McCain would have just denied ever saying that he would support a repeal if the Pentagon agreed and the news would have let him get away with that lie.
He actually thinks he can completely change his story and nobody will call him on it…because that is what he has done for his entire career.

…. which means he is probably not actually homophobic – instead he’s pandering to homophobic constituents, and doesn’t give a damn who he might hurt as long as he doesn’t lose the homophobe vote.

You guys and your fake gay advocates in the media are unnecessarily obsessing over John McCain. John McCain is not President. Your President is Obama. Obama is the one who promised to repeal DADT, not McCain.
John Stewart, Rachel Maddow and Anderson Cooper should be criticizing the fraud Obama, not McCain. McCain is a sideshow, an aged, temperamental political whore. He’ll never change.
Don’t let Obama off the hook. The fake gay advocates are attacking McCain because they can’t bring themselves to criticize the real culprit, Obama.

John McCain is the man who stopped the repeal of DADT already once this year by filibustering it. And he’ll be the one to try and stop it again.
He may be an aged political whore, but he still has the power to stop DADT from being repealed once and for all.

This isn’t only about McStain. I watched the interview on Sunday, and while McCain told a mountain of lies, David Gregory let him get away with everything.
They should change the name from Meet The Press to Meet The Ass Kissing Sycophants Working Tirelessly To Shift Blame For The Economy Onto Gay People, Immigrants, And Any Other Convenient Scapegoat.
Meanwhile, Logo puts up The A List and other shows making us look like trash.

I loved this. Have you ever seen the photo of a young black woman walking to school in newly-desegregated Little Rock (I think) and behind her are white girls and women screaming at her, their faces twisted by hate? IIRC one of those women publicly apologized years later, but how would you like to be on the wrong side of history like that, the public face of prejudice?
Just ask John McCain, I think he’ll know eventually. What’s truly evil about his stance is that I don’t think it’s authentic, it’s a political position he’s adopted to get votes. From “maverick” to panderer in one easy step. It’s shameful.

I once read an article in a German newspaper where they interviewed a ex-skinhead who had been in at least one neo-Nazi
march. This kid admitted that he was just being a punk trying to
piss people off, but he mentioned that he himself was shocked when, instead of being outraged, some old grandma stood there encouraging them! It’s not clear if she was a true unrepentant Nazi or simply a bit senile (maybe it reminded her of her pre-menopause youth). Regardless, she probably died before anything dawned on her.
