Jorge Mercado’s Killer Pleads Guilty, Receives 99-Year Sentence

Juan José Martínez Matos (pictured) plead guilty today to the brutal dismembering and murder of Puerto Rican teen activist Jorge Steven López Mercado, avoiding a trial, and was immediately sentenced by Judge Miriam Camila Jusino to 99 years in prison.

Good. Now the best part: The torture he’s going to endure while being in there. I hope they have no mercy on him and I hope security cameras catch it on video and later posted for the world to see.

well. I hope he at least works his ass off in prison (both ways). While it must suck to be in prison. You still get 3 square meals, get to work out, etc.

Every time Queerty announces that someone got prison time, someone makes stupid comments about the rape he will endure daily in prison. It ain’t likely to happen. He killed a PR gay activist. If he stays with his own, he will be an honored hero. In case you hadn’t noticed, gay people are not all that popular. If you are really into the prison rape thing, go rent a movie and get it out if your system. It was an awful crime, and at least 2 lives are ruined.
