Josh Duggar is in new legal trouble. Matthew McCarthy, a photographer and DJ, is suing Duggar for allegedly using a photo of McCarthy for various dating and social media profiles, including Ashley Madison, OKCupid and Twitter.
Duggar, a former executive director for the antigay Family Research Council who rose to fame with his family’s reality TV show 19 Kids And Counting, was found to have a premium, “guaranteed affair” subscription when affair hookup site Ashley Madison was hit with a data leak outing the information of the site’s users.

Duggar admitted to being unfaithful to his wife Anna and claimed to have an addiction to pornography. He checked into a Christian-based rehab center. He reportedly checked out and returned home to Arkansas in March.

McCarthy is seeking undisclosed damages, claiming a loss of work and harassment due to Duggar’s use of his picture, reports People.
He claims he has earned nicknames such as “DJ Duggar” and “Duggar’s boy toy.”
In the filing, he states it has resulted in “prolonged pain and suffering, anxiety, depression, embarrassment, humiliation, loss of self-esteem and extreme and severe mental anguish and emotional distress including but not limited to frequent panic attacks, disruption of sleep and insomnia, mood changes, fits of anger, a loss of interest in pursuing both professional and personal endeavors, and a complete loss of self-confidence.”

McCarthy also alleges that his close-knit, Catholic family has been on the receiving end of harassment.
The filing claims Duggar “acted willfully, maliciously and impressively…with full and deliberate disregard for the consequences [to McCarthy]” and that McCarthy “reasonably fears that he will continue to be shunned, avoided, embarrassed and subjected to ridicule.”
TMZ claims that last they “heard” Duggar was working at a car dealership.

Why would any man be stupid enough to put a profile on Ashley Madison? This is desperation-plus in my view.

@Brian: Combine a not uncommon naivety regarding internet security/anonymity with the ability of the little head to control the big head and you have your answer.
There are three better questions:
1. Why is infidelity so common for both humans and animals (is monogamy natural, now that many of the supposed examples from natrue have been debunked)?
2. Can we quantify the danger posed by infidelity if an open relationship is agreed upon?
3. Is it reasonable to expect people to respect agreements, promises and contracts if those agreements, contracts and promises run counter to our intrinsic (genetically mandated) nature?
Regardless of the answers, Duggar remains a stupid scumbag worthy of ridicule and would be so even were he true to his vows.

I thought I saw someone using Josh Duggar’s picture on Grindr. It looked like Josh. The things he said he was looking for was disgusting.
