Ken "exemplifies fantastic Palm Beach fashion," according to a company spokeswoman, in what was likely not a straight face. Sugar Daddy Ken is also targeted toward the Barbie brand's adult consumers — who are more adept at understanding what a "sugar daddy" is. Because Mattel would have you believe it refers to Ken's dog.
