Justin Timberlake Is Trying To Bring ‘Sexy Back’
Justin Timberlake is releasing a new album in September called “Future Sexy Lover Man Sounds of the Future” (or something along those lines). The first single, an electro-pop number with a sound circa 2002, has already dropped, and its title “Sexy Back” does not refer to anyone’s ass or Justin’s well-developed lat muscles. It’s actually much more predictable:
“I’m bringing Sexy back / Them other boys don’t know how to act / Back, flack, slack… zzzzzzzz”
We are getting really frustrated. First Beyonce releases her lackluster “Deja Vu” single, and now we have to listen to this dreck that is trying quite unsuccessfully to be Britney‘s “I’m a Slave 4 U,” except with the inspired addition of Timbaland mumbling “get your sexy on” in the background. Between that and his “Promiscuous Girl” collaboration with Nelly Furtado, Timba is batting a perfect 0.
It is already July and we are still waiting for the Song of the Summer. Where is it?

This song is def. disspointing I think. I mean, yeah, it has a great beat (credit to Timbaland), but the repetitive chorus gets really annoying after awhile (say something else!!). And why digitally process his beautiful voice??? I think for sure, the song of the summer is Christina’s “Ain’t No Other Man”!!!

I think it’s a bit unfair to label Justin’s new song as tired and wannabe. Compared to a lot of the other crap on the radio it’s refreshing to hear something completely different. And shouldn’t we give him props for not coming out with his signature high pitched screech and doing something new? I think you need to put your personal opinion to the side and just listen to the music.

Listen to it once. Then, listen to it several more times. It’s a hot song with a hot beat. I think people are still waiting for Justified 2 and that’s not going to happen.
As a fan, I’m proud of him for pushing the boundary and doing his own thing. If everyone kept playing safe, we’ll end up getting songs like ‘Deja Vu’ which is so obviously trying to be ‘Crazy in Love Part 2′. Give it a chance and just listen.

I agree that “Ain’t No Other Man” is definately the song of the summer! Xtina’s doin her thing and so is Justin. I admit I only heard “Sexy Back” once and was kinda disappointed but at least he ain’t playin it safe like Beyonce is with her crap-whole new single “Deja Vu” It’s people like Jutin & Xtina/Baby Jane that will be around for a while cuz every new album brings a new vibe and sound. Keep doin yo thang peeps!

OMG! I cant believe u dissed timbaland like this! you are so wrong tim is one of the most creative producers in the industry dont blame him if justin want him to make a pop song.. there are only so many topics a pop artist can talk about before it all sounds the same anyway (Depending on their talent and creativity) shame on you I can tell you havent followed timbalands career closely at all he has made at least 10k songs that are amazing in his career! (Rolling Eyes HARD!!!)

I just listened to Justin’s song, “Sexy Back”, and was very disappointed. The ONLY good thing about the song is having Timbaland. Justin’s freshman alblum, “Justified” was very good, almost every song on there was great. I guess hooking up with a old skank like Cameron, has made him lose his edge. Stick to R&B Justin, and drop the hag, and the “new” pop music.

SAY WHAT? You all have lost ur motha f^&*in MINDS! I LOVE this song, as does most of the people i know that have heard it? Just because something is not compleletly different doesn’t mean it’s not great. I think Justin has brought Sexy Back, into music at least. Maybe you should all hear the song again. Peace out.
