Kathryn Knott Thinks Jail Sucks, Petitions Judge To Be Released So She Can Record Anti-Bullying PSA Instead

It pays to be the cute, blonde-haired, blue-eyed daughter of a police chief. Just ask convicted gay basher Kathryn Knott.

In January, the 25-year-old  Jack Daniels aficionado was found guilty of simple assault, conspiracy and reckless endangerment and sentenced to 5-10 months behind bars for her part in the brutal and bloody attack against a gay couple back in 2014.

But apparently jail sucks, and Kathryn wants out. So her lawyer, William J. Brennan, filed a petition with the court on her behalf asking that she be released early and instead made to  record a public service announcement as punishment for her participation in the hate crime.

Amazingly, a Philadelphia judge has actually agreed to consider the request.

Common Pleas Court Judge Roxanne Covington will meet with Knott’s legal team on Monday to discuss whether the police chief’s daughter should be allowed to hang up her orange prison uniform and be chauffeured to a comfortable, air-conditioned soundstage, where she’ll be given the full hair and makeup treatment, placed in front of a camera and told to read from a cue card for 15 minutes before she’s free to head down to the local sports bar to celebrate her early release with her other gay-hating friends.

Covington says she will only “consider the merits” of the request on Monday and will not not pass or change her sentence at that time.

We’ll be sure to keep you posted with any developments.
