Kelly Rowland Talks Beyonce Envy, Domestic Abuse In “Dirty Laundry”

After a decade of politely dodging questions about how she got shafted under Beyonce‘s post-Destiny’s Child shadow, Kelly Rowland is finally digging deep and speaking up.

Homegirl is dishing some primo dirt about her tumultuous relationship with Queen Bey and an abusive other man in “Dirty Laundry”, the newest single from her forthcoming album, “Talk A Good Game”.

“It was very emotional. It took me days to record,” Rowland told Billboard this week. “I had to get past being so upset and actually sing the song, not sob through it. I always hope that my music can inspire someone, the same way other artists inspire me.”

Check out some of the hard-hitting lyrics below:

“When my sister was onstage killin’ it like a motherf**ker
I was enraged, feelin’ it like a motherf**ker
Bird in a cage, you would never know what I was dealing with
Went our separate ways, but I was happy she was killin’ it.”
