There doesn't seem to be a downside to them endorsing Barack Hussein Obama right now. If he wins the nomination they're heroes and in like Flint. If he loses the nomination, they did "the right thing".
Plus it totally goads the Clintons. Ted's speech was all in Hillary's face, and he knew it–quite funny.
