"A measure that would bar gay and lesbian couples from adopting children is sparking protests in Frankfort. Opponents gathered in the Capitol on Wednesday to call on lawmakers to defeat the legislation. Their calls for "fairness" echoed through the marble hallways. Louisville civil rights group The Fairness Campaign organized the rally against legislation that would bar gay, lesbian and unmarried heterosexual couples from adopting children or providing foster care." This is so not an issue for the states to decide on their own. Any information on the perspective from the single heterosexual community? The Blade didn't give any more pertinent information.
You guys also know that this is NOT just an issue for KY GLBT Residents ONLY. They need support from EVERYONE around the country. Thats one of the great problems that we have. Because it seems like if it doesn't efferct US in OUR STATE no one gest involved. But we all know DAMN WELL that Focus on the Family and other so called "Pro Family Christan Groups" are sending newsletters out to people all around the country and uging them to call and support it.
We really need to start doing this. Because what affects one State DOES indeed in the end affect us all. (Case in point this happened in Arkansas and the haters won and thats why its happening in Kentucky now)
SO PLEASE. NO MATTER WHERE YOU LIVE. WHAT STATE, WHAT COUNTRY. CALL ONE OF THE NUMBERS BELOW AND TELL THEM THAT YOU ARE AGAINST THIS BILL.

We NEED to start working TOGETHER as a GROUP and start exerting as much PRESSURE as our enemies.
Take 5 Minutes and make a call. And tell them you do NOT SUPPORT Senate Bill 68. (hell lie and tell them you'll pull your Business out of KY) Just DO SOMETHING. WE NEED A VICTORY.
Thank you
