What do you mean Kenya’s Prime Minister Raila Odinga called for all gays to be locked up?! It was a misquote by the lamestream media, says Odinga. Except, uh, his comments were caught on tape.
Odinga claimed Sunday there is “no need” for homosexuality in Kenya, and insisted, “Any man found engaging in sexual activities with another man should be arrested. Even women found engaging in sexual activities will be arrested.” And: “This [homosexual] kind of behaviours will not be tolerated in this country. Men or women found engaging in those acts deserve to be arrested and will be arrested.”
Not that Odinga is standing behind his remarks now. Yesterday he denied the allegations he uttered these remarks. Except Kenya’s Capital News says the remarks were “captured on camera.”
So not only is this man a dangerous bigot, but he won’t even stand by his bigoted remarks. Fine job, sir.
How about we take this to the next level?
