Kern On TV

Anti-gay Oklahoma lawmaker Sally Kern appeared on her local political chat show, Flashpoint, and proceeded to get into a heated exchange with Scott Jones, an openly gay pastor. Basically, she comes off looking like an illogical, incomprehensible cooze. Unbelievable, right? [Pam's House Blend]

I like the pastor's "attempted" responses to her. They were articulate and measured. He had a hard time getting a word in edgewise, however. She hogged the floor.

She doesn't understand why Christians are sometimes compared to terrorists? Religious fundamentalism is dangerous, no matter what religion it is. Stupid twat.

Nevertheless, Anarchos, the epithet "terrorist" has been invoked too often. It is made into a political club against one's political foes. The word should be saved for Osama and his ilk. "Christians" should always be modified by their respective theologies and ideologies. There are several denominations which are very friendly toward gays; others with true hatred. And within those denominations, there is a wide spectrum of response to gays. I save my ire for the televangelists who, like talk radio demagogues, seize upon the latest issue de jour and capitalize on it for publicity and financial gain. Cockroaches! Once they've lost most of the battles over "the homosexual agenda," they'll find another enemy to battle.
