Kim Kardashian Opens Up About Fam’s Reaction To Bruce Jenner’s Transition

Screen Shot 2015-04-27 at 9.33.47 AMDuring last Friday’s interview in which Bruce Jenner revealed he’s Republican transgender, Bruce called out Kim Kardashian as the “most accepting” in the family.

Kim didn’t appear in the two-hour 20/20 special, but now she’s given her own interview, offering a message of love and support to Bruce.

“I’m really happy for him that he is living his life the way he wants to live it, she told Matt Lauer on the Today Show.

“I don’t know what life would be like if you always felt like you weren’t yourself,” Kardashian added. “As long as he is happy, and he wants to live his life, however he wants to live it, that just makes me happy. And I support him 100 percent.”

Kim also revealed that she and the rest of her cast family are processing Bruce’s transitions differently, and using therapy to work through it together.

“I love having so many siblings and such a supportive mom because, you know, each family member might be dealing with this in a different way,” she told Lauer. “But we have each other to go through this experience with. And I’m really grateful for that.”

As for rumors that some in the family are unsupportive entirely?

“I see reports saying, ‘This one doesn’t support him,’ and [that] my mom feels ‘a certain way. It’s all really so made up. We all really support him.”

And she addressed the pronoun confusion during the special — Bruce is referred to as “he” throughout.

“Until that transition is done, we’ve learned that you do refer to him as ‘him,'” Kim said.
