For queer photographer Kirk Lorenzo art and sex go hand in hand.
“These models are men that I hook up with via dating apps,” Lorenzo, who is currently enrolled at the School of The Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, tells Queerty. “To give reference to that I thought it important to not include their faces.”

Lorenzo says keeping his model’s faces hidden isn’t about shame or humiliation but rather the anonymity that comes with casual sex.
How about we take this to the next level?
Our newsletter is like a refreshing cocktail (or mocktail) of LGBTQ+ entertainment and pop culture, served up with a side of eye-candy.
“I don’t know much about these individuals aside from how their days been, what they look like and what they’re into sexually,” he explains. “At least in that moment. Though the majority of the time we end up becoming friends afterwards.”

Gay hookup culture is so beautiful.

@PRINCE OF SNARKNESS aka DIVKID: You sure that’s not just runny mascara miss thang?
Billy Budd
I truly believe that promiscuity is part of the essence of Men. We are genetically programmed to spread our seed as much as possible. And variety is the spice of life.

@Billy Budd: I agree whole hardly I will take any seed a man is giving.
Stached1
@bottom250: What other types are there besides, well the obvious? Are you HIV+? Do you have lots of STDs?
bottom250
@Stached1: no hiv or std’s. What other types of what?
Billy Budd
@bottom250: He meant Other Types of Seed. He was being nasty. Do you bareback? Please make this clear so you can defend yourself.

if i “didn’t hook up” i wouldn’t know most of the homos i love most in my life.
The Gay Handshake is AWESOME.
we meet. we connect. we experience pleasures together. and then….. we continue to connect. friendships form. circles of friendships form. love forms. it’s a male-male system, being a part of a male-male system and not being ashamed of embracing the sharing of our sexualities together means we have the potential for incredibly strong bonds.
it’s not meaningless. it’s not empty. AT ALL.
i know i’m not the only homo who has had hookups turn into incredible long-term friendships, ongoing relationships, and more.
the sharing of sexuality and pleasure with your gay brothers is a beautiful thing. it in no way cheapens the “acts of love” to engage in them with multiple partners. I’ve collected a great many lovers over the years, and we remain bonded and strong.
it’s a good thing 😀
Billy Budd
@AtticusBennett: I totally agree with Atticus.
bearbottom
I agree too, but when you’ve been body shamed a few times, you’re left out.
AtticusBennett
@bearbottom: when i was in my mid-twenties i become a total gym bunny. built myself a sick body. know what happened? i suddenly had the attention of those muscle boys who’d previously ignored me. know what that was like? boring as HELL. when someone only pays attention to you if fit their narrow physical ideal of What Sexy Is you need to be aware that they don’t give a damn about YOU – just the shell of your body.
there are guys whose self-esteem is so low that they don’t realize that by NEEDING steroids to keep their man, or their friends, they’re admitting that they themselves, as a person, aren’t enough.
my point? change your own perspectives – don’t roll with body-shamers. if the type of guy you’re into isn’t into the type of guy you ARE you need to change your perspective on why you like that type of guy. your name is bear bottom, i’m guessing you’re a bear? is there really a lot of body shaming in the bear circles? i figured with so many guys of nearly the same build it would have been more inclusive.
