Politicians have to be polite. It’s part of their job.
So, since they’re not supposed to say “fuck you” to their legislative adversaries, many politicos do it the democratic way – by pissing on their foes’ legislation. That’s what Kentucky Governor Steve Beshear did to his predecessor, Ernie Fletcher.
Fletcher, a Republican, used his power to strip gay and trans inclusion from state agencies’ non-discrimination policies. Democrat Beshear didn’t think that very fair, so he issued an executive order to restore said queer inclusion.
In your face, Fletcher!

Is it just me, or have politics in general taken on a continuous cat-fight tone lately? Or, rhetorically speaking, has it always been like this and I was just clueless? The Clinton-Obama drama has been an unbelievable soap opera on such a grand scale, how can we expect state politics to be any different?
