City News Service is reporting that the L.A. County Board of Supervisors voted unanimously (the five person board's two Republican members were absent) to join an existing lawsuit against Proposition 8. that is filed with the CA Supreme Court. Members " [Zev] Yaroslavsky and [Gloria] Molina, both Democrats, want the nonpartisan board to ask a judge to issue an order barring the state from enforcing the same-sex marriage ban until a determination can be made by the Supreme Court regarding the constitutionality of Proposition 8."

What wow Zev did something that wasn't a crazy NIMBY anti development thing? I can't believe he voted in favor of something that pleases me. I think hell is going to freeze over and pigs will fly. Wow I am getting the best info at Queerty that I have ever gotten.

Zev was on hand at West Hollywood Park on June 17, the first day of weddings, greeting couples and shaking hands. I understand that he helped make sure that the county employees fixed the computer glitch that made the first licenses print out as "bride" and "groom."

I'm glad to hear this. The other two wouldn't have voted for it even if they had been there.
