Queerty is better as a member
Perez Hilton was shady as hell when she had her single drop. At least Gaga is trying to role model maturity to some degree since she knows she has a legion of loyal fans that will cut someone for mother monster. She understands the social power she wields and, IMO, is trying to be responsible with it.
So, like Oprah and her shopping incident, there seems to be backlash at her obvious publicity stunt.
Both of them enjoy the benefits of this spat – publicity. Unfortunately for the rest of us, we are bombarded with this stupidity – particularly as people take sides.
It is sort of obnoxious to label Gaga a digital hypocrite. While she uses all forms of digital media to her advantage, she makes music for a living… I have no opinion, of course, on whether it is GOOD music. Perez, however, actually does digital media for a living. He is in the gossip business… and he has used digital media to be mean, bully, bash and deliberately mislead – all before his ‘come to Jesus’ chat with Ellen. Nowadays he just takes the truth and twists it or leads the reader to his conclusion while getting his little digs in.
For him to complain about Gaga doing the same is more than a bit hypocritical.
It’d be nice if the rest of the media could label the both of them unworthy drama queens and stop recycling this story.
Security affirmed He was actually near Gaga’s apartment , so I guess it’s more than accusing + he’s not her former friend, they were friends ’til last year. You should have your facts rights
@Mauricio: Well, he’s in New York and she’s in Los Angeles. Poor terrified thing, I hope she took at least a half white Valium.
They’re both as bad as each other. Leave it to celebrity ego to get all butthurt over nothing.
Gaga is a star. Perez is a muckraker. People make mistakes. Gaga has been consistently a positive voice. Perez has consistently been a bitchy queen. I know whose side I am on in this one.
