With all the big Cher news of her performing at New York pride and last night’s much talked about performance of “Woman’s World” on The Voice, we almost missed the update on her duet with fellow gay icon, Lady Gaga.
A fan asked Cher on Twitter about “The Greatest Thing”, the title of this sure to be hit, said fans have been waiting a long time. Cher snapped her finger and typed, “U Think You’ve Waited? It’s done & she doesn’t like it, or want it to come out.”

Cher brought up her concerns on The Voice last night, saying: “I did a song with Gaga and I think it’s brilliant and I thought her performance was great but she doesn’t like it.”

@Fitz: Funny your need to hate on Gaga with regard to the name calling. Curious, were you hating on her before, when she wrote/shared/recorded the song with Cher or after when she decided that a song that she wrote, and recorded, was not to her liking? And how exactly is she telling Cher, ‘what to do.’? Did you miss the part that she wrote the song and it was a duet?
I’m disappointed too, and hopeful that there are at least 2 or 3 hits on the album, Woman’s World not being one of them.

gaga is just recovering after surgery and cancelling part of her tour. she’s going to come out with a new single and album this year, so marketing wise for her it’s best to not release anything with her name until then. maybe after her own stuff is released. it’s all about timing and marketing.
