Lady Gaga: “I’ve certainly had sexual relationships with women”

My god, Barbara Walters, you sure got personal with Lady Gaga last night! Cutting right to the chase, the world’s most ancient daytime gabber quizzed the performer: “Have you had sex with women?”

Ms. Gaga — ever the pro — replied: “I’ve certainly had sexual relationships with women.” Git it, girl, git git it, girl!

Was anyone else a little … surprised that question came out of Ms. Walters’ mouth? Not that Walters is afraid to talk about sex; any View viewer knows she’s comfortable talking about lady parts. But isn’t this the woman who — comfortable asking Gaga whether she’s done the freak nasty with other gals — is the same reporter that, during the same television broadcast, refused to even show Adam Lambert kissing another man?

She’s using female bisexuality as a marketing ploy in the same way Madonna did it. It’s based on pleasing sleazy straight guys. It’s about a straight man’s fetish, and not our orientation.

Note how hypocritical Barbara refused to even show a man-man kiss from a genuine homosexual man.

Cause straight guys make up the bulk of her fans? Christ, give the woman the benefit of the doubt. Things are much different than 1995 and bisexuality isn’t really that all of an attention-getting factor anymore after Ellen and Will and Grace.

Straight guys might not make up the bulk of her fans but it’s straight guys (and their enablers) who are running the record companies and designing female bisexuality.

Make no mistake, female bisexuality in the music industry is being designed by straight guys who don’t care about GLBT rights. Don’t fall for it. The women themselves need to take some responsibility for this affront.

Anyone who thinks this chick is really bisexual, or will ever have a public relationship with a woman, is beyond naive. She panders to the gays so hard, it’s pathetic. She’s not even convincing, and is way too ugly to ever turn a straight guy on…..hence the masks and cartoon costumes.

Madonna invented this game years ago, and did it with so much allure and sex appeal. Two things Gaga lacks on every level.

I like GaGa a lot and think she makes catchy songs but she’s doing stuff Madonna has been doing for 25+years but not as good as the original.

GaGa can sing but I want depth!

Does the pandering to the gay audience ever stop? Yes, an entertainer she is indeed. And a darn good one.

However this was all done back in the 1980′s by everyone’s favorite (now) old slut who needs to sit her ass down somewhere and enjoy her half-billion dollar plus fortune, Madonna.

You go Ga. I laugh at you at each interview I am lucky enough to catch. I also want to caution you on your drug use too. You were clearly plastered honey. I know. Been there, done that experience makes me have no doubt about your condition and it was not funny.

The next time you are home in your mansion stop to ask yourself why Whitney Houston has no other choice but to sell hers at a loss and how Britney Spears almost followed in her footsteps had her family not forced her to get her act together.

What does “does the pandering to the gay audience ever stop?” mean?

She was asked a question, and she answered. And for the record, you dont have to be a straight man to think a little girl on girl stuff is hot. And who cares who thinks it is hot? That is who she is…because she admitted it, it must be a ploy for controversy? JFC, people.

I love the Godga.

@ Jason

Her sexuality is not what makes her noticable, her hit making songs are! Her incredible talent on the piano and theatrical style performances are what make her stand out.

Sexual preference does not matter if you have talent, even if she’s straight, she’s still one of the few artist who are hands on with their material.

Jason, I understand your frustration with the double standard regarding female vs. male bisexuality/homosexuality, but it isn’t Lady Gaga’s fault. I don’t even like Gaga or her music, but I fail to see anything wrong with her answering Walters’ question. You don’t know Gaga’s motivation. Bisexual women themselves are not the enemy, dig?

i find it funny, just a few months ago Barbara Walters did a special, i think it was called “30 mistakes in 30 years” or something, where she talked about the mistakes she’s made in her career.

One of the akesmist was questioning celebrities sexualities, and how she’s learnt that she shouldn’t do it.

RE: Shae….clearly you’re a naive 20 something that doesn’t know GaGa is ripping off of what Madonna did 20 years ago when taking a stand for things like Gay rights and aids awareness could have been career suicide. Madonna wrote songs with meaning that changed EVERYTHING from female empowerment to sex to acceptance. She is and will always be the Queen of Pop. If it wasn’t for Madonna GaGa wouldn’t even exist today.

And yes I like GaGa, she has that IT quality but hardly a superstar yet let alone an original icon like Madge.

Go back and explore Madonna’s music and not just the singles. Maybe you’ll learn something and see why GaGa just makes catchy dance songs and nothing to deep.

Agree with Matt, GaGa is hot right now but lets see where she is in 30 years. Madonna is not only an icon but the greatest female artist of all time and all female popstars of today owe their careers to her achievements.

In response to those here (mostly male) who argue that Lady Gaga is using female bisexuality, a technique that Madonna pioneered ears ago, simply as a ploy to pander to the “sleazy straight guys” and gay community: that completely overlooks the fact that Lady G just might like girls. lots of girls do. not so uncommon and questionable as some people here would have it appear. Its true that the music/film industries likely find themselves in a fortunate position because of it. But that is a unrelated byproduct of this.

Alexandra,

I have no time for female whores who use their sexualtiy as a marketing ploy. If that grates, tough.

Female bisexuality has close links to prostitution. You only have to look at the plethora of women who go bi simply to please their grubby “strictly straight” boyfriends or husbands.

This is prostitution, pure and simple. It sullies our community and trivializes female sexuality as a whole.
