Queerty is better as a member
No wonder the title of this article didn’t make sense!
Thanks for fixing the headline. “She doesn’t want her thrown what?”
BFD…both are equally untalented
@Sweet Boy: You just committed a high crime. You must turn in your gay membership card.
@Caleb in SC: Bahaha, love that last line.
As far as shade throwing is concerned, nothing can top that “reductive, look it up” *sips from tea cup* moment from Madonna. Good on Gaga for trying though.
Who’s the better musician/diva is another argument.
Will Lady Gaga ever shut up? She’s turning off people with her marketing antics. I feel she’s getting bad advice from the guys who design her marketing at Interscope.
She’s a pathetic name-dropper for starters. She also has collaborated with homophobe TI on a song called Jewels and Drugs. Why on earth would she choose to do that? Gay bloggers have completely failed to call her out on it.
Gaga won here.
And aww, how sad must it be that the person who inspired you dislikes you. Well, anyways…back to life at the ranch.
As for her so-called talent, Lady Gaga is limited. Keep in mind that her marketing schtick is directed by the guys at Interscope. Interscope employs hype-merchants whose job is to use the word “talent” when describing her.
Here’s something you need to know about Lady Gaga: she uses gay men as a cover. This enables her to get away with including nudity and pseudo-lesbianism in her image to appeal to straight guys.
It appears to be a clever trick designed to deflect critics of her sleazy, straight male-pandering image. She’s using us gay guys as the deflecting shield.
She seems to protest too much for someone who claims she doesnt care if Madonna likes her or not. Her passive aggresive tweets about Madonna not too long ago and now this.
I listened to that interview. I am not and have never been a GAGA fan but she sang live on the radio and she was quite magnificnent, she has an actual voice that is strong and powerful. What I hate about her is HER, her words, her self importance, her calculated love of gays. I’m not saying Madonna is better but at least Madonna invented herself before TMZ, Perez Hilton, etc…
2 attention whores….byeee
I think Gaga secretly LOVES it when people hate on her because it gives her ammunition, it’s her opportunity to pretend like she’s above it…..while addressing it and giving it more attention. Then it also gives her a chance to preach to us about negativity and how above it she thinks she is. She loves moralizing too.
Gaga is a perpetual victim and a tragic narcissist so these feuds with Madonna and Perez Hilton are like crack to her.
I side with Madonna because Madonna may be a narcissist but she’s much more self-aware. She may rely on gimmicks too but it always seems to me that Madonna is much more in control of them than Gaga. Gaga is dominated by the theatricality, the costumes, and her celebrity…it’s pathetic.
I love both Madonna and Gaga. But if there could ever be an heir apparent to the Queen of Pop’s throne (there can’t), it’s not Gaga — it’s Ke$ha!
yawn Gaga plays victim again. She certainly didnt have this attitude back when she was friends with Perez Hilton and decided to slander Christina Aguilera for her own selfish promotional gain.
@redcarpet:@redcarpet: Madge calling Gaga reductive is like the pot calling the kettle schizophrenic – wasn’t Vogue reductive of the entire mid-to-late 80’s ball scene after all?
Neither one of these skanks could hold Debbie Harry’s peroxide bottle.
Whose Modonna? Is she some kind of singer?
She’s just something they made up to scare children.
Ke$ha???? Puh-lease!!! If there is a definition of talentless, Auto-Tuned crap, it’s Ke$ha. Raise your standards, son.
There are moments when Lady Gaga’s performances leave me breathless. Other times she seems young, insecure and insincere. And then still other times she seems sincerely interesting and a decent human being (her last visit to the Graham Norton Show had all of these).
I am happy to give her the benefit of the doubt about the insincere parts – she’s very young, and in a very strange environment, and it’s hard for anyone to handle that. When she’s wonderful, that more than makes up for the times when she’s not.
She’s a very different person from Madonna, I don’t see any need to compare the two.
I thought Born This Way was more in the vein of a Madonna tribute song. Look honey if it’s got a beat and I can dance to it, I don’t care which Deva is doing it.
The only throne these strumpets are competing for is the porcelain one.
@buybioniconitunes: Oh Lady Gaga totally let Perez fight her battles for her. Anyone who dared criticize Gaga faced the wrath of Perez so she could save face and look innocent. Now that Perez hates her guts, Gaga’s having to do her own dirty work.
@AuntieChrist: It’s spelled Diva you idiot.
This Madonna/Gaga fued is getting ugly and pointless. Why, pray tell???
As for Gaga, I’m just sick of her. Her voice is pretty amazing but she tries too hard (and nothing much comes from it). Her songs are terribly written (If she spent a few more minutes trying to add different lyrics and make them less repetitive, I’d probably like them more). Her music is often enjoyable anyways except for ArtPop, I have not found many of them to be genuinely likable. She just needs to calm down.
Man, both these girls suck.
It was not rocket science that Born This Way was far too close for comfort to Express Yourself. The rant about Madonna not liking her is just not true. The majority of Madonnas comments were nothing but praise for this woman. This one obviously stuck in her crawl. Now that her album Pop Art has tanked after a 25 million dollar publicity campain I guess she will become even more despirate. I hope it brings Gaga holiday cheer that her label, Interscope, is laying off employees to try to cope with the huge losses suffered with this latest shallow project.
@marsian: True or not, it was some awesome shade throwing, worthy of the queenliest of drag queens. That’s all I’m saying.
