Maybe Pete Burns was right when he said that Lady Gaga “[rang] the death knell for Madonna.” After all, Gaga is the current gay “it girl” and where is Madonna? Where is she I ASK YOU?!!!!!1!!
Apparently Mags has been constantly about the Lady, dealing with Gaga’s crank calls, and going to a support group for aged divas. But will any of this help the Queen of Pop recover from her Gaga-related stress disorder? Or will Madonna have to do something drastic to heal her mental wounds? BWA-HA-HAAA!!!!
Oh how we do love it when divas go CRAZY.
fake and phony
You are driving gays insane with constant bullshit about Lady Gaga.
Enough.

Where is Madonna?
Last I heard, the 54 year old Michiganite was building a girls school in Malawi (how Oprah of her) and fucking some 21 year old kid (maybe she thinks young jizz will make her look young?) but as a force in pop music, her time is over.
Madonna needs to be gracious — unlike that vicious cow, Bette Midler, and enjoy her millions. For a woman with very little talent, she managed to have a long bizarrely long career and make tons of cash.
I mean, the poor thing was a guest last season on the dreadful, ‘The Marriage Ref.’ Case closed.

@fake and phony: Please Daniel …more about Lady Gaga!
AOG93
Um, so when have you built a school for anyone? Please, giving Madonna crap for doing good? Go fuck yourself.
And where is she? Living her life, not waisting it talking about somebody else. She´s lasted more than anyone and will continue to outlive others. All of her songs are classic, while many of the other girls’ already sound dated. When was the last time you heard a radio station play “Oops… I did it again?” or “Just Dance”????
And, she’s 53.

The guy making these videos is a really good performer–I’d much rather watch him-as-them than any of the women he’s lampooning. Too, I’ll admit I laugh every time I see someone declaring Madonna over. I don’t have to like her all her work to know, jeebus, she’s Madonna–she’s not disappearing. This phenomenally dull GaGa product, however, I’m counting the days for her to evaporate.
Xtincta
@AOG93: What are you talking about I haven’t heard a classic Madonna song on the radio in YEARS, The only one I hear with any sort regularity is Music and that’s from the 2000s. Granted Vogue et al still hold up well but I don’t hear them on the radio!
scott ny'er
@Xtincta: well they play Express Yourse… oh, I mean Born This Way, all the time.

Gaga and the gays got a shout out in the new Vloggity: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v?=OtQ9oESxqzw
Ryan
Stop doing Lady gaga Stories, she’s not a homosexual. She’s not really bi she’s just saying she is. I don’t want to see celebrity crap that isn’t really gay news here.
xander
@Ryan : Regardless if you like Gaga’s music or persona, she is an ally, as was shown in the recent NY state decision to allow same-sex marriage. Maybe you forgot the song Born this Way, which has become something of an anthem for many??
(admittedly,ok the song may not be so unforgettable, but millions have heard it)
Sebizzar
@xander: Very true. Can’t believe some people act like they don’t know or care how much she’s brought gay rights to attention, regardless if you think she’s even gay. But anyway, i still like Madonna i hope she makes at least 1 more hit lol
Opheliac
Yeah, this dyke personally prefers Mother Monster. Sorry, Madonna. And Gaga is not just an ally, she is actually bisexual.

I liked the story, but the writing wasn’t very good. The performer looks like Madonna and does a decent enough voice, but all of the other parts should be recast.

I was just listening to Madge on Spotify last night and several of her remixes get me through the treadmill at 6:30am–at least for me, she’s not going anywhere. I dig her.
I also dig Lady G, though I wouldn’t say I was a superfan–but my bf and I decided to buy her music when she made her big donation to at-risk gay youth charities and when she stuck her nalgas out for marriage equality. Don’t give a shit whether she’ll last or not.
I still laugh at Midler’s Delores routine, Sophie Tucker jokes, still think Cher is genius in Moonstruck, still can’t stand Liza Minelli but love “Cabaret”, still think Streisand’s “Superman” album was a defining moment in my young gay life.
Spike
Playing every role is so not original, I couldn’t fast forward fast enough.
SteveC
Madonna released her 1st single before Gaga was even born.
She’s just finished directing the movie W.E. (picked up for distribution by the Weinstein Company).
And she’s currently in the studio recording her 12th (13th if you count ‘I’m breathless’)
I don’t think we need to worry. She’s going nowhere.

I hereby give you permission to love these people and playfully
make jokes. I think they can take it. It’s ok to laugh at your idols, and it’s ok to laugh at yourself.

Am I the only one who remains unimpressed with either of these broads? Madonna can at least claim one or two decent movies, but there are far better singers out there singing much more interesting songs. Lady Gaga is just doing what Madonna was doing when I was a baby, which was a time when you couldn’t even say the word “butt” in cartoons. She can do what she can to actually advance the cause of gay rights, and I’ll be grateful, but her music does nothing for me, much like 99% of the music of the last two decades. It’s too soon to tell whether LG will last, but when the average life-span of a performer’s relevance is 5 years if they have more than one or two hits.
I am so over the whole concept of a “gay icon”; it has been so watered down and commoditized to become totally meaningless. And the old ones were better anyway. I must be the only one, gay or not, born after 1980 who’s seen a Judy Garland film that didn’t have flying monkeys in it.

Maybe if I keep saying this, maybe it will eventually sink in:
Just because she is an “ally” — DOES NOT MEAN YOU HAVE TO LIKE HER, RESPECT HER, OR SLOW DOWN IF YOU SEE HER CROSSING THE STREET.
FUCK Lady Gaga.
Icaro
Again, if you guys live long enough, maybe you’ll see the next Madonna (or Gaga, as you prefer) that will eventually come. Because nothing can last forever, and a new generation needs a new Queen to worship (not that I like neither Madonna nor Gaga). Also, Madonna isn’t that Original at all (she’s just exactly what Gaga is today, a Pop example of her generation).
Cindy
I don’t like madonna. I thought she was pushing away from gay scene when she married Ritchie, at least her brother Christopher said. Then she was on Ellen’s show talking about bullying, and mentioned she wouldn’t have a career without the gay community, etc. So, does this mean that she’s going to make amends to her brother? Whatever..it’s been a couple of months since y’all commented..so
