Teeth is not an official music video of Lady Gaga’s. It was made by a fan.

In her official music videos, Lady Gaga has completely avoided male-male sensuality. She’s reportedly under instruction from her record company. She’s just as much to blame in my opinion.

I actually was digging that video. And THAT video made me dig the song. A LOT. I REALLY like that song now. Methinks, after some research that if these dudes were fans, they modeled some of the dancing and wardrobe from Gaga’s live show. Because it’s the same hot pants/suspenders and dance steps. I wondered about that because there was a hotness to the choreography, that you wouldn’t normally find in amateur videos.

Good! I was starting to think she was losing it.

It’s boring. It’s amateurish. It’s not sexy at all. The two actors seem fake and not convincing in any way. It’s the same shit for 4:30 minutes and nothing really happens. It looks silly considering it’s a woman singing. The whole idea of the vid is not really fitting the song lyrics at all. The song lyrics as I understand them are very empowering and not about some S&M shit.
She should have been in the vid.

Maybe it’s my own hangups (I don’t have many… I’m an adult gay dude who’s been on the internet a few years now) but I’ve yet to see a decent gay-themed non-pornographic video, especially music video.

I like this song, and this video is exceptionally well-produced, don’t get me wrong; just the action in the video itself is stilted and weird. Again, maybe it’s hangups talking, but I find it hard to enjoy a production where I have no idea what the characters are in relation to one another. Add to that just random sudden dancing in front of a (presumed) prisoner? It got confusing for me.

Also, the ending was awful. The guys are hot, the song is great, the production values are stupendous, but even so, after watching the video I still feel like I need to write an apology to someone.

Maybe I’m alone on thiS? I don’t know. But if you’re going to vent your opinions, might as well do it pseudo-anonymously on the internet for a gaggle of strangers, I reckon.

When are you in the gay community going to wake up to the notion that Lady Gaga is a corporate entity who is exploiting the gay community to make money? You truly are the EDG’s (easily duped gays). Like Madonna, Lady Gaga says she is for gay rights but then seemingly avoids showing us in the music videos in which she appears.

When are you going to realize that the men-in-suits who control the record companies are totally against male-male action in music videos? It’s about time you did.

Lady Gaga is part of the homophobic – as in homophobic towards men – structure that exists within the music industry. Lady Gaga may not be homophobic herself but she is part of the structure.

Wake up to it, guys. Stop being the EDG’s.
