We know you've just been dying to know what former N'SYNCer and current homosexual Lance Bass has to say about queer peer Ellen's Oscar hosting gig. Well, wait no more, faithful reader, for NYDN delivers the stunning revelation:

I'm thrilled that an openly gay person [hosted] the Oscars. It gives a face to a gay person – to make it more acceptable and okay to be gay.

Wait, we thought we already had a face. All this time we've been walking around all skeletal and shit? Fuck, that really explains a lot…

The kid could say the sky is blue, and you'd somehow find argument with that. Seriously, grow up.

I did not know that about the sky being blue.
I did not know that Lance Bass was a kid.
I don't want to grow up.

i'm confused. in his coming out article in People, he said he didn't want to become a posterboy for the gay community.

then why should we care about his opinion?

he may have said he didn't want to be a posterboy, but face it, he's one of the most visible gay celebrities in the world right now. he matters.
