Thanks to assaults in Chelsea, the West Village, and most notably the Bronx, New York City’s (reported) anti-gay attacks climbed to 50, up from 43 at this point last year.
Only because the crimes were so public that the police HAD to report them.
My city has supposedly a low incidence of accidents or hit and runs. Well I saw an accident, the other driver took off, I went to help out and the police officer did not want to take a report because they said that if the woman could driver her car away it didn’t count. After we said we would call the city govt. offices to check that out the police officer grugingly said that they had a form that SHE could fill out.
So there you go, we have a low incidence of hit and runs because they don’t take reports on them.
