Lazy, Anti-Lesbian DC Cops May Get Fired

Remember those seven DC police officers who refused to take a report for five lesbians who got attacked after refusing the advances of two thugs? D.C. Police Chief Cathy Lanier says they might be terminated, but only after an internal investigation determines what happened and if it was motivated by anti-gay animus. She also said during a private meeting with the D.C. group Gays and Lesbians Opposing Violence that police were close to obtaining warrants for the arrest of the two suspects which could possibly happen within days.

That’s great, except the officers had already taken custody of one of the suspects at the crime scene the night of before letting him go and threatening to take in the women for “not piping down” instead. God, we hope somebody gets fired.

Justice works… very, very slowly… after coffee and donuts… and a nap.

All the cops I know will be relieved. No, they’re not all bastards. And fuck that small minded opinion. That opinion is why more good people don’t go into the profession. Who wants to “serve and protect” a bunch of people who call you a bastard on a daily basis? I decided I didn’t, so I quit.
