We’re not sure what inspired two 23-year-old women to have sex in a McDonald’s restroom in Philadelphia earlier this week (on a Wednesday afternoon, nonetheless), but in hindsight, they’d probably tell you it wasn’t the best place to get down and dirty.
The Philadelphia Inquirer reports that managers were tipped off to the indecent encounter by disgruntled patrons claiming to have seen the women enter a single occupancy restroom on the second floor together. Once discovered engaging in “sexual relations,” the two were ordered to leave the store at once by the manager on duty.
During the couple’s walk of shame through the restaurant’s ground floor, a group of customers allegedly led by “a woman in her 40s with two young children” hurled gay slurs at the couple, telling them to “get out of here, you dirty dykes.”
Before leaving the restaurant, one of the women was physically attacked while the other was stabbed in the back of her shoulder. All suspects and patrons scattered the restaurant before police arrived, and thankfully, the woman’s injuries were minor and immediately treated.
How about we take this to the next level?
Our newsletter is like a refreshing cocktail (or mocktail) of LGBTQ+ entertainment and pop culture, served up with a side of eye-candy.
Tack this one onto the laundry list of reasons why you probably shouldn’t have sex in a McDonald’s bathroom. Aside from the obvious sanitary issues, you never know when an insane knife-wielding, Big-Mac-lovin’ douchebag with an anti-gay agenda is lurking around the corner.

Okay, because of the stabbing and gay slurs I will refrain. Because it’s sad and unnecessary. it may be rude and disgusting, but it’s not stab worthy.
Anyway, point is: someone please let me know when it’s okay to make a McScissor joke.

#1: I’m thinking it’s a little too early, because my knee-jerk response to you is STFU.
If the McDonalds manager was escorting the two women out when they were attacked, I see a very profitable lawsuit coming soon.

All I can say is they brought it on themselves. Had they not decided to have sex in a bathroom stall they wouldn’t have gotten reported the Manager who in turn wouldn’t have had any reason to expel them from the store and they wouldn’t have ever had to make the walk of shame and thus wouldn’t have been assaulted or stabbed…….I don’t see McDonalds being sued over this as it was a patron who did the stabbing and McDonalds isn’t responsible to search everyone that comes in their stores…Moral of this story is Get A Room.

@Jackhoffsky:
OMG as a gay woman..I am STILL LMAO!!!!

Having sex in the bathroom is no cause for homophobic verbal abuse or a physical assault. The women were escorted out. The woman with kids who berated these woman should be especially ashamed (and probably should come out of the closet–no one gets that worked up over gay people except a closet case), but so should everyone who was abusive to and violence against them.
boring
They weren’t paying enough attention to the lyrics of “The Humpty Dance,” clearly.
Franklin
@boring, maybe they got mad because it wasn’t a Burger King bathroom.
boring
@Franklin: Really they should have opened up the bathroom stall door, saw the two girls going at it, shrug and say “eh, Doowutchyalike.”
But as long as they were wearing their sex packets.
…
The whole situation was nothing but trouble.
boring

I’m surprised to hear of a McDonald’s in the US that has an upstairs. If that’s it in the picture, they certainly hid it well.

Good observation…

You said it exactly right.
“…they brought it on themselves. “

“two women entered a restroom designed for one person”
then
“the manager entered the restroom…”
Somehow, I doubt it’s a single door, onto a single room with a toilet and sink.
it’s probably a restroom with a single toilet stall, separate from the area with the sink, hand-dryer, etc… meaning two people COULD legitimately be present in the same restroom without nefarious intent.
I have a distinct impression that there is something we aren’t hearing about EXACTLY what happened.
the manager “caught the women in ‘sexual relations'”. what exactly does that mean?
Police have been called on women breastfeeding a baby, by people describing it as an “obscene act”.
Police have been called on people kissing, describing it as “having sex”.
There are so many examples of intolerant people turning perfectly innocent acts into some protestation of gross indecency that this whole thing begs for further investigation.
I’m sorry, unlike the judgmental amongst us, I can’t accuse the victims in this case without knowing more.

” I’m sorry….I can’t accuse the victims in this case without knowing more. ”
The way you’ve described things, I think you’ve made a good case for the need to “know more”.

I’ll bet any amount of money this happened in a Swedish neighborhood.

Sometimes your boyfriend / girlfriend is too hot. It’s just a fact. Heterosexuals do it all the time. I’d be lying if I said I’d never gotten down with a boyfriend in a public bathroom (while making sure that it was fairly private — and only in 21+ establishments.
The thing that sticks out to me is that they were attacked for being gay. If some woman was blowing a guy in the men’s room, I highly doubt anyone would have gotten stabbed. Period.
