Lesbian Couple Invited All Aboard Obama's Whistle Stop Tour
 
 

With word that Sanjay Gupta may be Surgeon General, the arrival of a flashy new website to get Americans to serve their country and Obama arriving in D.C. to his inauguration by way of old-timey whistle stop tour, it seems pretty clear the new President embraces Marshal McLuhan's dictum that "the medium is the message."

Case in point: Two of the people invites on the whistle stop tour– and who will appear onstage with Obama — are a lesbian couple involved in grassroots activism.

The Washington Blade reports:

"Today the 2009 Presidential Inaugural Committee announced the names of 16 families who will join President-elect Obama and Vice President-elect Biden on their Whistle Stop Tour to D.C. the Saturday before the inauguration.

Lesbian couple Lisa Hazirjian and her partner Michelle have been invited to join the Whistle Stop Tour and appear onstage with Obama and Biden during events.

Hazirjian, who is from Ohio, serves as an at-large board member of Equality Ohio, as a member of the Cleveland Stonewall Democrats and as a volunteer for Cleveland Families Count, an organization formed to defend the new domestic partner registry in the city.

She is now establishing herself as a leader in our community at the grassroots level, serving as an at-large board member of Equality Ohio, a member of the incredibly effective Cleveland Stonewall Democrats, and a volunteer with Cleveland Families Count, the organization formed recently to defend the new domestic partnership registry in Cleveland. "

Jesus Fucking Christ!!!! The self-generating delusion among The Gays about the Messiah, er Obama, that existed all through the primaries is alive and just as deluded and gullible.

NOWHERE in the official press release about the train trip from the inaugural committee is Lisa Hazirjian's partner mentioned, let alone that Hazirjian's gay herself. The AP story about it all does, but that's probably because the writer is from Ohio and would know of Hazirjian. There's NO evidence I've seen that Obama Inc. is touting this to mainstream media themselves. Why should they when the gay press will repeat the story over and over just as they made his "Open Letter[s] to the LGBT Community" seem as if anyone was aware of them BUT desperate-to-deepthroat-him gays.

When Obama introduces them to the whistle-stop crowds and TV cameras as a lesbian couple THEN call me. Until then I'M not swallowing anything.

Sorry Leland – but a lot of us hope that Obama's team doesn't "introduce them as a lesbian couple" – How about if they are just a "couple." – Unless people are morons (and they already oppose us), maybe everyone will just fking get it.

Sorry, Evah, most people ARE morons. When room designer Nate Berkus, the favorite pocket gay of the Original Big O, St. Oprah, was first on her show discussing the death of his lover during the devastating tsunami a couple of years ago, even tho he used the word love, he referred to him only as his "partner"—which would be fine in a LESS stupid world. Alas, most Americans reside in an intellectual Hooterville, thus, some people posted on Oprah's Website how sad they were that Nate lost his BUSINESS partner.

People see what they want to see, and our advancement towards FIRST class citizenship is too important to leave us for the willfully blind not to see.

PS: to be more precise, I didn't mean referring to them with the L-word specifically. That would be as nonsensical as referring to other couples as hets.

BUT, if he doesn't somehow make it clear they are a COUPLE and not just two platonic pals like the "former cheerleaders/sorority sisters/best friends" that compete as teams on "The Amazing Race," this is just a gimmick to appease gullible gays who, nudge nudge, wink wink, get it.

And, again, that SEEMS the slippery game plan given that the official press release does NOT read "Lisa Hazirjian and her partner Michelle _____" while it does identify straight couples, "Mike and Cheryl Fisher" and "Jim and Alicia Girardeau."
