Naval Petty Officer Second Class Marissa Gaeta won the traditional Navy homecoming lottery, allowing her to be the first to leave her ship and kiss her girlfriend on the dock, The Virginian Pilot reports.

Gaeta purchased 50 tickets, fewer tickets than many of her fellow service members, but she won the first kiss. When her ship returned to the U.S. after three months in Central America, Gaeta disembarked and, as the crowd cheered, gave her girlfriend, Petty Officer Third Class Citlalic Snell, a big smooch.

This evening, NBC Nightly News ran the video of the kiss. Then went on to interview gay and straight US soldiers in Afghanistan about how the ending of DADT had no negative impact on them. I was surprised how casually NBC presented it.

Of course they allowed two women to kiss, imagine the anger, uproar, and how everyone would have reacted including the media if it had been two men. People are not threatened by Lesbianism and for a lot of men apparently they are turned on by seeing two women kiss.

The idea that this was the result of a lottery is a bunch of horse puckey. According to my sources, it was an organized stunt. The organizers did not want it to be two men kissing in case it offended homophobes.

The whole thing was a lesbian photo opportunity that pandered to homophobes.

Peter, Amber Heard is bisexual she’s not lesbian. I do agree that if this had been two bisexual or gay men instead of two lipstick dykes you would have had people get angry, the media would have made fun of them, and yeah a lot of men do get off to seeing two attractive women kiss.

i am straight. big deal viewing lesbos kiss. this stuff is sort of normal for many men AND HYPOCRITICAL WOMEN that may be bi and hate two men kissing and like two women kissing. i heard a girl say this and i read some girl’s hypocrisy about being a bi and being disgusted when two men kiss. in this culture many girls would rather watch two women kiss then two men kiss. it is facts
