Lesbianic Ads Flop

It seems sex doesn’t always sell. Clothing company, French Connection, once known for it’s oh-so-subversive FCUK logo, sought a rebranding, ushering in an ill-conceived fashion versus style campaign.

To start it off, they ran a commercial depicting two sassy ladies, one fashion, the other style, battling it out, only to come together at the end with a steamy kiss. Unfortunately, lesbian eroticism hasn’t had the result they hoped for and profits continue to sink.

It’s too bad: we were considering a lesbian martial arts advert ourselves. Guess that’s out the window.
