Lisa Murkowski Distracted From Declaring Support For DADT By Noisy Celebrations

Alaska’s newly elected senator Lisa Murkowski, the first Senate write-in candidate to claim victory in more than half century, must have been so stunned by her win over Joe Miller that she could not articulate her position on supporting or opposing Don’t Ask Don’t Tell. Yeah, that’s it, she was just distracted.

Murkowski was truly the lesser of two evils between her and tea party favorite Miller.

However the sweetest bit ‘o satisfaction was the absolute bitch slap the population of Alaska sent to Scarah Pallin by defeating her hand picked candidate………

I’m not ruling out her support on repealing DADT. She voted yes to the Matthew Shepard Act and is pro-choice.

Smells like wanting to have it both ways. Her answer is pure unadulterated equivocation and in no way expresses support. “Wouldn’t oppose” doesn’t equal voting for, nor does it suggest she’s committing to not filibustering.
