LISTEN: Celebrate Kylie Minogue’s Birthday With New Single “Skirt”

Unknown-2[1]

“Might be my birthday but I’m still working #studio,” Kylie Minogue posted on her Instagram today as she celebrates her 45th.

A new single from the pop diva and icon hit the web early this morning when producer Chris Elliot (Nom De Strip) released  “Skirt” on SoundCloud. Filled with Kylie’s trademark sighs and moans, it kind of makes you want to drop your skirt, right?

This is also not the final track, but a dubstep version of the single from DJ and producer Chris Lake as stated by Elliot said on his Facebook page. Lake debuted “Skirt” at opening weekend of Pacha Ibiza this past Saturday.

Listen to “Skirt” below.

It just amazes me what passes for music these days….There’s hardly any real lyrics it’s mostly computer generated tones that make her sound like some 16 year old teeny bopper. I hate it I’ll stick with Pink or GaGa.

I loves me some Kylie, but damn has her music just been awful for like the past decade. It’s like elevator music.

We need a SAW reunion or set of copycats to bring back some music worth listening to.

It’s the dub remix, not the original track. I quite like it and it’s better than 99% of what we got on Aphrodite which was just music-by-numbers. I still think she’ll never pass the genius of her opus ‘Impossible Princess’, but am still looking forward to the new album. I have The Abbey Road sessions to hold me over till then.

Been on repeat all day. Didn’t know Kylie would serve such a bop.
