While still months away from Lady Gaga‘s ARTPOP, a good quality demo of the song “Burqa” has leaked on to the web. It gives monsters something to hold them over until the official first single “Applause” is released August 19, ahead of the November release of the album.
The final version of “Burqa” could change from this, but as Hypable notes, the production value does sound pretty close to a finished, mastered version.
The song seems like a perfect fit for Gaga’s upcoming film debut in Robert Rodriguez’s exploitation flick Machete Kills. The lyrics “I’m not a wandering slave I am a woman of choice” are tailor-made for the scene of her walking along the desert road in the trailer.
