Swish Edition

LISTEN: Out Rockers Rock Out and Sherry Vine Sticks It To Lady Gaga (Again!)

Our musical series of episodes continues as we welcome nationally known singer/songwriter Tom Goss and DC-based performer/actor Jeffery Johnson to the studio this week, to entertain us all.

Just back from a whirlwind tour of the U.S., Goss brings his folk/rock style together with his friend Jeffrey as they perform two songs in the studio, arranged just for the Swish Edition as a lead up to their “Under The Covers” shows at Washington, DC’s Black Fox Lounge.

You’ll dig the deconstructed “Lover” (a Tom Goss original) and a cover of  “Love the One You’re With.” (Because, don’t we all?)

And because we’re all about the music this week, we’re thrilled to have another Sherry Vine parody for ya.

This is Lady Gaga‘s “Americano,” like only Sherry could re-imagine. It’s a little dirty, but that’s why we love her! (And if you are in New York City Sunday, October 23, head to Barracuda for the premiere of two brand new Sherry videos at midnight.)

This week’s roundtable topics include: misadventures in back rooms; major comic-book series add gay characters; Grindr changing the face of gay sex; actor Zachary Quinto and an ABC News anchor come out; Justin Bieber releases Christmas music in October (66 days too early, we believe); we remind you to mark your calendar for our “25th Annual High Heel Race” live video coverage; we bring you dirty stuff that our friends wrote online; a new study reports that we’re all basically whores and that bottoming doesn’t hurt; and much gay hilarity!

You can listen right here…

Scott Wallis is the co-host of the Queerty/GayCities-sponsored Swish Edition comedy & interview talk show. He’s busily preparing for next week’s live streaming video coverage of DC’s High Heel Race…but this year he’s leaving his Manolo Blahniks at home.
