Little Investigation Didn’t Stop Mayor Sam Adams’ Pride Celebration

samadamspride

Despite a growing (but delayed) effort to recall Portland Mayor Sam Adams from his post — you know, for lying to investigators about his relationship with Beau Breedlove — and an investigation from Oregon’s attorney general, gay pride revelers welcomed their embroiled city official Sunday if this news report is believed. To be sure, this wasn’t Adam’s first pride, just his first as mayor, and he made his way through it in typical fashion: on his bicycle. (Photo: qPDX)

There are 3 large parades in Portland in June. The Rose Parade, Starlight Parade, and Gay Pride Parade. Sam appeared in all 3 and received the standard applause and whistles. From the audience reaction I doubt the recall will be successful…unless the AG investigation finds he did break the law by participating in sexual acts w/ Breedlove when he was 17.
