Liberalism has two traditions and the tradition of Obama and shills like crazylove is in the rancid right wing tradition of Lyndon Johnson and Bill Clinton. crazylove, full of himself, imagines that he’s a real liberal but like Obama, he’s just another tawdry right winger masquerading as a classic liberal.

LGBT Republicans learned the hard way that being associated with rightwing politics in an invitation to contempt from our communities. Supporters of bigots and bigot panderers like Obama, Biden, Barney Frank, Pelosi, Kennedy, Feinstein and Reid et al will begin finding that out the day after the inauguration, assuming that the Bradley Effect has a minor impact on the vote.

But the facts are that Obama and the Democrats oppose socialized medicine and single payer insurance. Obama’s election, because of his open bigotry opposing same sex marriage and equal rights will be a defeat for our movement. His election will mean an escalated attack on the standard of living of working people and on unions. That’s guaranteed by Obama’s support of the grand theft bailouts that by now amount to trillions.

Obama promises to escalate and enlarge the war from Palestine to Pakistan and loudly supports the policy of launching US death squad raids against the sovereign territory of Pakistan, a nations whose military and people are both anti-American government and the owners of a arsenal of nuclear weapons. That’s as criminally dangerous and illegal as anything Clinton or Bush did. Obama supports the criminal embargo against Cuba and shares Bush’s hostility to revolutionary changes in Venezuela and Bolivia. He supports zionist apartheid against Palestinians. And now it seems that Colin Powell will be Obama’s Daddy Warbucks, just as Cheney was for Bush.

Obama’s election will be a blow to civil liberties and civil rights? No it Like Bush he’s a supporter of the death penalty for working people and voted to extend the Paytriot act. Like Bush he gave a pass to the telecom companies (FISA) who were illegally using wiretaps and internet intercepts to monitor groups opposed to the war. crazylove, care to guess why Obama supports illegal wiretaps and if that has anything to do with his plans to escalate the war? No forget it, if you let facts get in the way of your fantasies you’ll just get a headache.

Obama, by virtue of his bigoted opposition to same sex marriage, and the Democrats as a whole will continue to be a major roadblock to our equality just as they have for the last two years.

In a few days the Obama “change” circus will strike it tents and clowns like crazylove can go home. Politics will revert back to a game of bribes and the votes they buy, the war will go on and each day will bring us closer to economic catastrophe. Then the left, which does include a few real liberals, because there aren’t many of them left, can begin to politically tear down the Obama administration brick by brick. And it’ll be a pleasure.

That’s our answer to the question “With Democrats like Obama and shills like crazylove who needs Republicans”.

Look, as much as you may not like it, the Log Cabin Republicans are still our gay brothers lesbian sisters, and they deserve our emotional support, if not our political support. Are they wrong? Yeah, I think so. But that’s just my opinion. Are they a bunch of self-hating faggots (and you know you want to use that word, in exactly the same way that Fred Phelps uses it, don’t you?)? Naah. I doubt that they’re any more self-hating than gay folks who lean to the left politically, and believe me, I’ve seen some pretty self-hating gay folks who lean to the left.

Actually, it probably takes more guts to be an out gay Republican than it does to be an out gay Democrat. That’s something that just doesn’t seem possible if you’re full of self-hatred. Frankly, this gay Democrat admires the LGR’s.

I’m pretty sure the supremes would overturn such an act. It’s pretty blatantly unconstitutional. I’m not worried about it.

It’s like asking communist why did communism fail? The communist would say because real communism was never tried. The same with conservatives. What else do they have left to say? Certainly not, hey- you know what the failed banks or my party’s increasing reliance of theocrats proves you right? We are asking to much of them to take responsibility. This lack of responsibility for their own actions is the conservative movement in a nutshell.

All you have to do is to read Andrew Sullivan as I have over the years to get this mentality: When liberals screw up, it’s our fault. When conservatives screw up, it’s not real conservatism. Only sucess outcomes are real conservatism.

What’s fascinating about it to me is that it both preaches personal responsibility to others, but never really takes any responsibility itself. The buck stops with us libruls.

Having dated Libertarians and conservatives, let me just add ‘No, I will not date you again.” Like Hound, I don’t want to date someone who looks down on me, my ideas or others or lacks basic community values like caring for those around us. I don’t have to be tolerant of the intolerant.

To give some of you a context for my personal feelings over gay conservatives– let me tell you a story about the last conservative I dated. We were discussing healthcare. I mentioned that I supported some form of a government alternative, whether state or federal, in conjunction to any private sector plans as a floor for our healthcare system. His response: “You are saying that because you are a black.” He was a white gay conservative. This is why I no longer have time for them.

For those of you who are reading this- remember- no conservative is a true conservatism if it is failing or unsucessful. Only people like Reagan, despite his racism and homophobia, is to be looked at as true conservatism. Nevermind, that Bush is the poster child of true Reaganism on the domestic front. Nearly every policy that Bush has, and that McCain has is a product of Reaganism. This election is at base a reputation of that idealogical perspective.

Now, we have all the gay conservatives whining like little bitches because life ain’t fair. Guess what bitches, I could told you that a long time ago. Welcome to the same reality that we liberals have lived in for 30 years. Let me give you a piece of advice- if you want to get something done– do what we did. Role up your damn sleeves. Survive all the slings and arrows for a decade or two, and come back with some new ideas outside of the crap you been selling for the last 30 years. Damn fucking whiners.

Mostly I find them amusing. After reading the same bloggers go on and on about how liberals hate America and are traitors and love terrorists, then they complain when we won’t date them. LOL No, I’m not going to date someone who thinks I hate my own country. But what’s obvious is that they have to date liberals because the gay neocons don’t even like to have to associate with each other and wonder why the rest of us don’t want to as well. Staying in a party run by bigots makes them bigots because it’s that partisan support, and not their intentions, that’s the objective reality. No one with the brains of a turnip could honestly hope to reform the Republican Party, at least not in this century. The LCR folks ought to be honest and rename themselves the Benedict Arnold Republicans.

But what about ‘GLBT’ Democrats? How do they size up with their BAR-LCR friends across the aisle? Is it fair to condemn them just because the Democratic Party took the mantle of chief bigot away from the Republicans two years ago? And has run with it.

It is after all the party that not only voted overwhelmingly for DOMA and DADT but who’ve refused to repeal them. It is the party of Dianne Feinstein who rounded up a bakers dozen of Democratic Senators to confirm Bush’s racist, homophobic nominee, Leslie Southwick of Mississippi to the Fifth US Circuit Court of Appeals in New Orleans. Just what we need, another racist and homophobe on a Southern court. Thanks, Democrats.

It is the party of bigotry regarding same sex marriage. Obama and Biden have both denounced our right to marriage and that can’t be having a good effect in California, Arizona and Florida. It is the party that ditched the Matthew Shepard hate crimes law and it is the party that embraces Colin Powell, a war criminal who, along with Obama advisor Sam Nunn, authored Clintons’ DADT. It is the party who erased LGBT from its platform on Obama’s instructions.

And it is the party of Barney Frank, the ‘gay’ Congressman who opposed same sex marriage in California and who led the successful Democratic effort to destroy ENDA.

You Dems need a name change too. How about the Barney Frank Democrats, as a reminder that in spite of your smarmy hypocrisy in criticizing your friends in the LCR and your sanctimonious claims to be for equality, you actually oppose it, just as they do. In fact, if not in intent.

It is interesting to note that Meghan McCain signed the book and inscribed upon it “LCR rocks!” – it shows that the next generation of Republicans are more or less pro-gay and that, eventually, we will triumph over the selfish and sad men at LCR and the Christian Right.

Fact – the Republicans since Reagan have been uniformly horrible for the economy – witness the economic mess we are in now, and who got us there? Republicans? And “socially liberal” um, what? Since Reagan the Republican party has been tethered to the ultra socially conservative religious right, that has fought every sensible fair piece of human rights legislation in the last 20 years. You also have to take into consideration the judges the Republicans appointment.

Seems to me that it is a fallacy, this idea of fiscal conservative, socially liberal – truly I would like for a Republican (or anyone) to illustrate for me, with facts, their supposed record on fiscal responsibility and socially progressive legislation.

Their only real difference is which set of hustlers and whores will run the government and get the bribes. It’s a gang thing.

If the new DNC headed by thug politicians wins this election everything will be on the table to help them achieve their tyrannical un-American rule.
