Two men have been arrested in connection with a video that surfaced of an East London group calling itself the Muslim Patrol harassing a man it believed to be gay.
In the clip (above) one member tells their unnamed victim he was chosen because he was “walking through a Muslim area dressed like a fag.”
Another shouts, “You’re gay mate, get out of here you bloody fag. Don’t stay around here anymore.”

Police arrested one 22-year-old suspect on Sunday and another, a 19-year-old, the following day. Both have been charged with “suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm and public order offenses,” according to Pink News. In a statement, a spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police Service said the department takes such incidents “very seriously.”
The Muslim Patrol has posted other offensive clips on its now-terminated YouTube page, including one depicting members defacing ads for Victoria’s Secret bras, and another of them harassing people for dressing in revealing clothes.

@gppm1103: Yes, but many are born in the UK so not much else we can do about it unfortunately. They are not so far removed from their so called ‘christian’ right wing compatriots who are just as vile in their contempt for gay people and spreading malicious hateful rhetoric about equal marriage in the UK. No religious denomination would ever condemn this sort of anti-social behaviour of course. Their silence and inaction give consent.
