Death Becomes Them

LOOK: “RuPaul’s Drag Race” Contestants Jinkx Monsoon And Ivy Winters Channel Meryl Streep

RuPaul’s Drag Race‘s new queen Jinkx Monsoon and fellow contestant Ivy Winters recently transformed into Meryl Streep and Goldie Hawn for a photo shoot with Ricky Middlesworth to recreate the iconic looks from the cult-classic, Death Becomes Her.

Monsoon has been asked several times to shoot as Streep’s character, Madeline Ashton, but it was Middlesworth who was lucky enough to help her realize her dream. Winters, who was Monsoon’s best bud on the show, flew in for the shoot to portray Helen Sharp. Even though she takes on Hawn’s role, Winters is working on a “Madeline Ashton” musical number based on the opening sequence of the film.

Middlesworth explained that his history of shooting dark, cinematic work in the entertainment and advertising industry made him feel right at home with the two drag queens.

I agree they are excellent pictures, and I love them both.

But just generally, I am so sick of Photoshop or digital manipulation of photos. Far more interesting to see things for what they are.

Meh, if it helps to bring the vision to life, then Photoshop away.

I would pay cash money to see these two re-enact the entire film. Or make a musical out of it! That would be Jinx’s ticket to Broadway success!
